  check it!!! focus: a mixed media installation by Malvina Tan in collaboration with Hong Yu Ran. focus is a fabric maze for an audience to wander through while casting shadows that will fade as they try to navigate further into the maze. sporadic lighting of fluorescent lights will create an animated shadow play for others outside the maze. with the use of lights, shadows and inspiration from the wayang kulit, focus, explores themes pertaining to voyeurism and a fleeting reality. this installation examines the possibilities of an augmented reality, and the power and depth of subliminal moments, creating a dialogue to reflect upon the unconscious. view the video documentation here: http://vimeo.com/m/65202995
